SMART IRRIGATION SYSTEM

Agriculture is one of most important aspect to determine a country’s economic state. Indian is an agriculture based country where irrigation plays an important part.Agriculture is said to be an art, science and commerce all at the same time as it suffices the factors involved in all three.With around two-third of the Indian population dependent directly or indirectly on agriculture, it is considered to be the basis of the country’s economic development. It is not just known to be a source of livelihood in India but a way of life.
The development of agriculture has much to do with the economic welfare of our country. Every year a huge population of India suffers from lack of rainfall months and water being one of the most important resources , we need to conserve it and use efficient and effective technologies such as Smart Irrigation technologies to face this challenging conditions and increase productivity of Agriculture so that it can reach the masses and satisfy the growing need.
“Smart irrigation” is an IOT application which provides remote analysis of irrigation on the field to the end user which is better than traditional irrigation of crop on field. Smart irrigation application has an automated recurring watering schedule; sensing and analysis of water used for crop and also senses moisture level giving real time data.
