Bettle Guard-A Virtual Home Guard
Concept Generation- This concept of bettle guard-a virtual guard came into my mind when I heard about a fire accident near my home in a godown which had different kinds of materials including plastic. Owners went on a long holiday, they appointed a guard to look after . The guard can only look around the godown and not inside . A human cannot be appointed to get locked in a place for many days to look after,but a machine can be made to so. Another incident which I heard of was a guard’s negligence led to breaking down of theives into a Goldsmith’s shop and home. The basic idea of this Model is to safeguard both the inside and outside hazards from turning into something fatal.
Goals –
(i)To safeguard and prevent common household hazards
(ii)To safeguard house during vacation,holidays,at times when you can’t stick to your home
Requirements –
(i)Object has to be connected to your device to ensure continuous monitoring
(ii)Object must be inculcated initially with few algorithms.Later,it will learn on it’s own
(iii)There should be a small hole so that the object can pass inside home to monitor inside surroundings
(iv)It must be a flying object resembling any insect Elaborating this idea,at times a dog or a watchman may not be attentive enough to prevent burglary or hazard. A watchmen cannot be trusted because he might fall asleep or may be involved in burglary.Checkpoints like car parking area,gate,back gate,window1,2..,kitchen area can be marked for the bettle to move around and it keeps updating you at regular intervals .If an attempt to break lock is made or even if anyone enters in your home mechanisms and algorithms should be imposed to lock all gates,wardrobes and notify you or your neighbour or nearby police station. If in case your friend needs to enter in your home for a purpose,you can send his/her picture to the bettle. Refrigerators or short circuit are internal hazard causing sources,we need an object to monitor such activites to minimise the loss.Short circuit due to refrigerator can’t be detected unless someone is in home.It does this job and notifies you at the instant when it detects anything fishy.You can inform your neighbour,relatives or friends nearby to check out if any thing has happened.
I learnt about concepts used to infuse human brain into machine such as AI algorithms, temperature detecting sensors with iot,blue eyes technology. AI algorithms- Initially certain algorithms will be infused and it keeps learning on it’s own in the environment
Temperature detecting sensors with iot -It could sense any considerable change in temperature and notify you from time to time
Blue eyes- The aim of blue eyes is to create computational machines that have perceptual and sensor ability
Using the idea of drones-In order that the fly keeps moving in the air we need a system similar to drone but small in size and which flies according to algorithms infused based on environment.
