Our Environment is being polluted every day. One of the main reasons behind this pollution is the industrial waste. Factories are dumping their waste anywhere thy can, and it is polluting our environment. Since the industrial revolution, small and traditional trades have been replaced by large industrial factories. Industrialization has been the result of rapid developments in technology and the increasing demands in our daily lives. These industries are essential to the progress of human civilization. There is almost no alternative to industrialization for meeting the high worldwide demand for goods. But the main thing is that most industrial factories are not eco-friendly at all. These factories produce a lot of waste every day. They are dumping their chemical and other waste wherever they want and polluting the air, water, and land. It is causing the soil pollution and climate change which is dangerous for earth’s biodiversity.Wastes discharged from factories are polluting our rivers and other water bodies with chemicals.

Besides,The widespread problem of water pollution is jeopardizing our health. Unsafe water kills more people each year than war and all other forms of violence combined. Meanwhile, our drinkable water sources are finite: Less than 1 percent of the earth’s freshwater is actually accessible to us. Without action, the challenges will only increase by 2050, when global demand for freshwater is expected to be one-third greater than present.Pollution kills water plants and animals. Polluted water also carries diseases. When animals drink the water, they may get diseases which can kill them. People can even get these diseases by eating the infected animal. This happens a lot in poor rural areas where people get untreated water directly from the river.

PROBLEM:

The main factor which is causing the water pollution is the waste water from the industries. Industrial wastewater is a by-product of industrial or commercial activities. Whether it’s the food we eat, the beverages we drink, the clothes we wear, or the paper and chemical products we use, water is required for nearly every step of production across a multitude of different industries. Both the solid waste and acidicity in water is greatly responsible for the waste water.Solid waste is drained in the form of tyres,electronic componeents,toys,leftover machinery part like small rods etc.They are carried out distantly along with the flow of the river.Later,they get settled in the bottom of river bed which then later becomes difficult to take out.besides the acids or chemicals are also released by industries in large extent. Dyes from garments factories and waste from tanneries end up in the rivers.The major victims of water pollution are amphibians and dolphins. A lot of amphibians that hunt insects in our farmlands are dying off. Just because of this, several species of fish and aquatic plants are endangered today. A lot of important plants are dying off due to toxic chemicals in the water. This harms the animals dependent on these plants. Fishes lose their breeding grounds and harm the overall ecosystem. This toxic water is also added on our farmlands by irrigation and because of this, the toxic chemicals are making their way into our food and cause diseases.

SOLUTION:

As a result to overcome this,An extensive sensor system, which can monitor and purify the amount of garbage and chemicals in water bodies and release fresh water in environment. This project aims to design and develop an automated IoT based system which consist of 2 galvanized segregation plates,iot sensors,liming solutions sprayed using sprinklers.The first segregation plate will have IOT weight sensor consisting of wi-fi module mounted on it. The work of the first segregation plate will to trap the solid waste and notify the organizations for its removal once the particular weight is exceeded .By this, solid waste incoming from the industries will be easily seperated and cannot be carried further.

Now coming to chemical seperation part,it will be done by second segregation plate.it will be consisting of IOT PH sensor and the sprinklers containing liming solution which will be having range of 8-10 ft.The task of pH sensor is to read the particular ph value of water.If there will be the presence of acid or chemical in water,then gradually the Ph of water will deviate from its normal Ph value, that is PH of clean water.Then if PH value of acid or chemical is detected,automatically the sprinklers will sprinkle of the solution in range of 8-10 ft moving 45 degress clockwise and anticlockwise.THis will overcome the acidity and remove the chemical presence in water which will be resulting in release of fresh and clean water after they pass through these plates and process is over.besides it will be consumable and will not cause any harm to aquatic life.
